Our Safety & Health Manager for Australia thankfully discovered the Digicore Nomad product while we were searching for a solution to replace our previous IVMS, which was unable to communicate when operating off the grid. Given that most of our exploration activities occur in areas with intermittent or no GSM coverage, satellite connectivity was essential—and the Digicore Nomad delivered. The Nomad has been a game changer. It’s robust, highly portable, and essentially plug-and-play. We also faced challenges with finding third-party service providers to install, calibrate, and troubleshoot our previous system in remote locations. With the Nomad, those issues are a thing of the past. The support team has been very responsive, although we’ve had no technical issues to date. End users have responded positively to the new system—their feedback on the previous product was what prompted our search in the first place. The consultation process was key, and there’s now a strong sense of ownership among our teams for the Digicore Nomad solution. Our Australian project teams are even promoting the product to colleagues in other countries, which speaks volumes about the end user experience. The significant cost savings compared to our previous system were an unexpected bonus. We’re now working with our external emergency call and welfare monitoring service to receive direct feeds from the Digicore Nomad IVMS for crash detection and duress alarms.
